Leasing an Audi A1 Sportback

Background to the Audi A1 Sportback

The roots of the Audi A1 date back to 2008, with the announcement of the A1 Project Quattro A1 Sportback. Originally marketed as a five-door hatchback, a three-door coupe soon followed in 2010. The current generation, with its 335-litre boot, includes the City Carver model and various designs, ensuring there is something for all needs.

Audi A1 Sportback Engines and Performance

The choice of engine for the Audi A1 Sportback will depend on the design. The Technik offers the Sportback 25 TFSi, providing 95bhp and the 30 tfsi with 116bhp. There are five- and six-speed manual gearbox choices and the patented S Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission. The Sport and S Line designs add the 35 TFSi 1.5-litre engine producing 150bhp, while the S Line Competition has the powerful 200bhp 2.0-litre unit, the 40 TFSi. Lastly, the Vorsprung offers a combination of the Technik, Sport and S Line engines. The fuel type on all engines is petrol.

Audi A1 Sportback Trim Levels

The Technik offers 15-inch alloy wheels and LED rear and headlights. The Sport has 16-inch alloy wheels, sport style exteriors and seating, cruise control and parking sensors. The S Line has 17-inch alloy wheels and sport suspension, with the S Line Competition adding adjustable dampers and ‘platinum’ door mirrors. Lastly, the Vorsprung has 18-inch alloy wheels, black styling and leatherette seating. Bespoke trim levels include colour, paint type, a contrast roof, technology packs and exterior storage, such as roof racks.

Audi A1 Sportback Safety and Infotainment Features

There are many infotainment options available for the Audi A1, but most features come as standard. This includes a DAB radio with a 9-inch touchscreen. The stereo is smartphone compatible. Safety options include a front pedestrian sensor, a lane departure warning system and hill hold to assist steep starts.

Audi A1 Sportback Servicing and Warranty

The manufacturer’s warranty is for three years or 60,000 miles. There is a four- or five-year option to extend this. Servicing your Audi should be undertaken annually to maintain performance.
