Leasing an Audi A3 Cabriolet
The Audi A3 dates from the mid-1990s as a hatchback model, but the cabriolet design itself was first released in 2008 as essentially an open-top A3 Saloon. The newest design, and its larger boot space, was released in 2013, with Sport and S Line designs available.
There are essentially three engines to choose from across the two Audi A3 Convertible designs. The A3 Sport offers a 1.5-litre engine with 150bhp that is available in six-speed manual and seven-speed S-tronic automatic transmissions. The Cabriolet 35TFSi accelerates to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds and returns 58mpg. Emissions are 122 g/km and 125 g/km. The other engine is only available for the S Line which provides a 40 TFSi 2.0-litre, 190bhp engine and a seven-speed S-tronic transmission. The fuel type is petrol only, with no diesel engine option.
The Sport design already provides Xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, MMI sat nav, rear parking sensors, cruise control and automatic headlights as standard. The S Line upgrades this list to 18-inch alloy wheels, climate control, the Audi sound system, sport suspension and a leather interior. Bespoke trim levels include 10 colours of various paint types, comfort packages, electric folding mirrors and head-level heating - a great addition for open-top driving! Most of the features available for the S Line can be added to the Sport model.
The Sport design comes with a smartphone interface, allowing you to play music or make calls without taking your eyes off the road. It also has a DAB radio. This is upgraded to the Audi sound system for the S Line, which has nine speakers and a six-channel amplifier. Safety features include cruise control, automatic and high beam headlights, sat nav - with a three-month subscription. There’s also driving select modes for control in specific conditions and a secondary collision braking system.
The standard Audi manufacturer warranty lasts for three years or 60,000 miles. You can upgrade to a warranty of four or five years. Service plans include one year (up to 9,300 miles) and two years (up to 18,600 miles).
