Leasing an Audi A3 Saloon
The Audi A3 Saloon was released in 2013 alongside the Cabriolet and Coupe designs. It was marketed as a spacious Audi A3 Sportback, but nimble enough for use as a city car. Its large boot size, 425-litres, is akin to a station wagon, although its exterior is not expanded unnecessarily. There are four trims in the line-up: the Sport, S Line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung.
There are two fuel types available for the A3 Saloon - petrol and diesel. The Sport has the 30 or 35 TFSi 1.0-litre or 1.5-litre engine producing 110bhp or 150bhp. It is available with either a manual gearbox or the S tronic automatic transmission. The diesel engine is also available with the 30 TDi and 35 TDi, with 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre engines. The 30 TDi is a manual transmission offering 116bhp and the 35 TDi produces 150bhp and uses the automatic gearbox. The same options are available for the S Line design, but the least powerful engines are not available for the Edition 1 and Vosprung.
The Sport has 17-inch alloy wheels and a sport aesthetic, while the S Line has 18-inch alloy wheels and ‘Black Titanium’ exterior features. Lastly, the Black Edition 1 and Vorsprung have 19-inch alloy wheels and a black-styling pack that includes bumpers and mirror casings. For bespoke options, there are up to nine colours to choose from. For the interior, lumbar seat support can be added, while the Comfort+Sound pack provides greater luxury.
The A3 Saloon with the MMI Navigation Plus provides a 10.1-inch screen, from which the smartphone interface can be displayed via a USB port. The Audi Phonebox upgrade allows you to charge your phone wirelessly and the stereo system is Bluetooth compatible. Safety features include high beam assist headlights, parking sensors, cruise control, the Audi PresSense front detection system (which warns and acts to avoid potential collisions) and park assist.
Audi offers a three-years or 60,000 miles manufacturer's warranty. There’s an upgrade to four or five years of warranty cover that is available. Servicing packages are available from Audi, with a recommended annual check-up to ensure that the vehicle runs smoothly.
A Volkswagen Passat Saloon car leasing deal is similar to the Audi A3 model in price. It is more powerful but offers a less contained design. A Mercedes-Benz C Class car lease is one of the most popular of its type, largely due to its power. Ultimately, the choice may come down to a preference in style.
