The Audi e-tron range is perfectly suited to those who want an electric car that does not look or feel too different from a standard Audi model. With Audi car leasing becoming so popular, this is generally seen as a good thing for an SUV that is both a focused family car, and cutting edge piece of technology.
There are four models for the e-tron. The standard model known as the Audi E-Tron Estate has five trims, including the Technik, Sport, S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung. The E-Tron Sportback, has a sleeker shape and just one trim. Alloy wheels increase from 20-inches for the Technik, Sport and S line to 21-inches for the Black Edition, and 22-inches for the Vorsprung. The Vorsprung also has the Comfort+Sound Pack as standard, with its Bang and Olufsen stereo. You can also add storage racks, child seating and an Espresso coffee machine.

Leasing an Audi E-tron
The e-tron concept dates back to 2009, but it wasn’t until 2013 that the car started to be mass produced. Based on the Audi A3 range, it was designed to feel like a familiar drive rather than futuristic one, and its practical SUV design provides a suitable aesthetic. The latest models were released in 2020 and, while remaining cutting edge, Audi has sustained their A3 dynamic.
There are two models using electric motors to choose from; the 50 Quattro and the 55 Quattro. The 50 has a 71.2kWh battery that provides 313 PS of power and has a range of 193 miles. It charges in 10 hours from a household socket. The 55 Quattro 95kWh battery provides 408 PS of power and has a range of 249 miles, taking 14 hours to recharge from a household charger. Both models have all-wheel-drive and use automatic gearboxes to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 5.7 seconds. The WLTP range is 241 miles.
As you would expect, Audi’s technology is top of the range. A twin HD touchscreen virtual cockpit offers access to the stereo, MMI sat nav and various information and safety features. With a fast charger, the e-tron’s charge time drops to 50 minutes using a DC 120kW charger. These include Audi Connect for the Internet, cruise control and parking assistance. It is also smartphone compatible.
Audi offers its e-tron with three-year/unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty. The servicing of electric vehicles should be undertaken every two years as there are fewer moving parts than petrol or diesel engines.
