Background to the Audi Q3 Sportback
From the beginning, the Q3 range was designed as a compact SUV, but with several facelifts since its 2011 launch, it has enhanced the style without losing its roomy SUV practicalities. The current generation was launched in 2018 and is based on the Audi A3 platform, with the Sportback model providing 530-litres of boot space. There are four trims on offer; the Sport, S line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung.
Audi Q3 Sportback Engines and Performance
There are eight engines in total for the Sportback, available on all designs, with the exception of the most powerful for the Sport. These include two fuel types, petrol and diesel. Petrol engines include the 1.5-litre 35 TFSI, with 150ps of power with manual or S tronic, automatic transmissions. The Sportback 40TFSI has 190ps of power and the 45 TFSI Quattro has 230ps. Both are 2.0-litre engines with a 7-speed S tronic transmission.The diesel engines are the 2.0-litre 35 TDI and the 35 TDI Quattro, available in both automatic and manual gearboxes and with 150ps of power. The 40 TDI Quattro has an S tronic transmission and 190ps of power.
Audi Q3 Sportback Trim Levels
Alloy wheels come as standard on all designs, with 18-inches for the Sport, 19-inches for the S line and 20-inches for the Edition1 and Vorsprung. Some equipment for the Vorsprung, such as the Bang and Olufsen stereo, can be added to the other designs. Options for the Audi Q3 Sportback include child seats, exterior storage racks, a choice of ten colours, various paint finishes and an Espresso coffee machine.
Audi Q3 Sportback Safety and Infotainment Features
Infotainment begins with the 10-inch touchscreen virtual cockpit. From this, you can connect your smartphone and use voice control for the stereo system and MMI navigation system. There are many technological safety features for the Audi Q3 range, including rear parking sensors, speed limiter cruise control and Pre Sense Front which warns you of impending collisions. There’s also Lane Assist, to prevent drifting between motorway lanes.
Audi Q3 Sportback Servicing and Warranty
Audi offers a three-year warranty which can be extended to four or five years, each with their own mileage limit attached. Servicing of your Audi Q3 should take place every year.
