Hi everyone! Will (CEO) here with a quick update from LeaseFetcher Towers.
It’s been a funny start to the week. Even though we’ve only got two days left until we launch, I keep thinking about where this all started.
Twelve months ago, my trusty old car finally died and went to the great scrapheap in the sky. Instead of buying a new one, I started exploring the possibility of leasing my next car.
That was when I discovered how clunky the leasing buying process was. I could hop on my computer and compare hundreds of utility packages, thousands of broadband deals and millions of phone contracts via comparison sites.
But I couldn't do the same for leasing deals.
I knew that that wasn’t good enough. I knew that consumers everywhere were making poor purchasing decisions because they didn’t have proper research tools.
(I mean, if you can’t see what offers are on the table, how can you possibly know what’s the right one for you?)
So, about a year ago, I started thinking about how we could use technology to improve this buying process. How could we use technology to help users sift through millions of individual leasing prices and find the best deal for them?
The answer we arrived at was LeaseFetcher!
LeaseFetcher works by automatically collecting tens of millions of leasing prices from leading UK leasing brokers. Then it allows consumers to search, filter and compare prices on an intuitive and supportive platform.
It's the site that I wish I had access to when I was researching a leasing deal!
Eight months hard work
It feels almost surreal to get so close to a launch date. We’ve spent eight months and hundreds of hours slaving over this project, ensuring that it’s as good as it possibly can be for launch.
And now we’ve got just 48 hours before we introduce LeaseFetcher to the world.
I know that not everything will be perfect when we launch on Wednesday — there’s still functionality we want to add and things I’d like to tweak — but I’m immensely proud of what we’ve created so far. Every single member of the team has given their all to make this project a success.
So when we go live, I hope you take the time to check out LeaseFetcher and see what we've been working on for the better part of a year.
