Leasing a BMW X5

Background to the BMW X5

Now in its third generation, the X5 was first released in 1999 and has become one of the world’s most popular SUVs. Its iconic front kidney grille and air inlets set the tone for a powerful car that means business. Choose between four new off-road driving modes, including options for driving in snow or on sand. Passengers have loads of room in the front and back, and there’s also a boot with 650-litres worth of space which can be expanded with the back seats down.

BMW X5 Engines and Performance

The BMW X5 comes with the choice of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid models. The popular BMW X5 xDrive40i has a six-cylinder petrol engine delivering 340hp and can travel from 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds. The most powerful is the BMW X5 M50i, which produces 530hp and can reach 62mph from standstill in just 4.3 seconds. For the more environmentally conscious driver, your BMW X5 lease car can drive up to 54 miles on pure-electric charge with the plug-in hybrid option and travel from 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds.

BMW X5 Trim Levels

The entry-level BMW X5 xLine comes with 19-inch light V-spoke alloy wheels and Vernasca leather upholstery. You can upgrade to the M Sport for 20-inch M alloys, M Sport brakes and M aerodynamic body styling. For even more luxury inside, you can spruce up with top-of-the-range Merino leather.

BMW X5 Safety and Infotainment Features

The BMW X5’s tech is underpinned by the BMW Operating System 7.0 which uses both speech and gesture control to access built-in sat nav, DAB radio and Bluetooth. Music comes courtesy of the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Sound system, or you can upgrade to a Harman Kardon premium system. You’ll also get a digital instrument cluster and the Intelligent Personal Assistant which learns and remembers your driving behaviour.

BMW X5 Servicing and Warranty

LeaseFetcher’s lease cars are all brand new, so your BMW X5 lease comes with the manufacturer’s three-year warranty and access to their servicing and repairs. For more information, visit the BMW website.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is it to lease a BMW X5?

To come up with the cost of your monthly payments, we need to ask you a few questions first. We need to know how much you’d like to contribute as your initial payment, and how long you’d like the lease to be. We’ll also ask you to estimate your annual mileage, but don’t worry too much because any excess mileage can be calculated at the end of the lease. Finally, we’ll need to know which trim level you want for your car and if you have any extra features you’d like added.

Is it better to buy or lease a BMW X5?

The straightforward answer is that a BMW X5 leasing deal is the easiest and possibly the cheapest way to drive home in a brand new car. You don’t have to worry about paying a premium price tag upfront, and we can work together to ensure you sign up to a lease with a manageable monthly cost. Road tax is included in the contract hire. All LeaseFetcher lease cars come with free delivery to an address in mainland UK.
