BMW Z4 Roadster Lease

The Z4 isn’t the only convertible bimmer in the running. The 4 Series Convertible is a slightly more expensive, divisive and practical four-seater.

There’s a reasonable selection of petrol engines on the Z4, and punchy performance is guaranteed no matter which one you pick. The entry-level sDrive20i shoots from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds; the larger sDrive30i in just 5.4 seconds. If you’re a proper performance nut, however, the M40i does the 0-62mph sprint in 4.5 seconds. Top speed ranges from 149 to 155mph as standard - enough to outrun any Bond villain, we’d wager. 

The Z4 also has one of BMW’s most eye-catching exteriors. Front and centre is BMW’s signature ‘shark-nose’ kidney grille, which even makes driving in a 20mph limit zone seem ominous. It’s complemented by a muscular silhouette, all new LED headlamps, and subtle nods to the classic BMW 507.

There’s an impressive array of Mi6-worthy technology inside, with active assistance systems such as lane-keeping, emergency braking, cruise control and parking assistance. A 10-inch iDrive infotainment display and digital drivers binnacle provides first class entertainment and navigation. There’s also a decent selection of optional tech, like keyless entry and BMW Concierge Services, for that extra “look at me” factor.
