Leasing a KIA Ceed Hatchback

Background to the KIA Ceed Hatchback

The Kia Ceed Hatchback was first released in September 2006 and was specifically designed for the European market.  As a compact hatchback car, it quickly became popular amongst families.  The first generation of the Kia Ceed came in two body styles, the KIA Pro_Cee'd and the Kia Ceed Sportswagon.  The second generation Ceed was premiered at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and despite being more expensive than the first generation, it provided a smoother and more efficient drive.  2013 heralded the release of the GT Line with the Pro_Cee'd GT high performance hatchback.  Its glossy sporty exterior, five doors and alloy wheels made it highly desirable.  However, the latest Kia diesel hatchback model ticks all the boxes when it comes to affordability and safety while also boasting the latest technology features and five doors.

KIA Ceed Hatchback Engines and Performance

When it comes to engines, the fuel types available are 1.0-litre, 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engines and a 1.6-litre diesel engine producing 114bhp.  If you opt for the 1.4-litre petrol engine and the higher-powered diesel versions, you can also take advantage of a seven-speed DCT automatic gearbox.  With the Kia Ceed Sportswagon there is also the choice of a petrol-powered plug-in hybrid engine.  This Kia Ceed hatchback is environmentally friendly as it has low CO2 emissions and up to 58.9 mpg.

KIA Ceed Trim Levels

The Kia Ceed Hatchback comes with the choice of seven trims, giving you an extensive range of choice. The range starts at the entry-level Ceed 2 which has cruise control, alloy wheels and LED lights.  The Kia Ceed 2 Nav is next in the range followed by the Kia Ceed 3 which comes with the choice of four engines and rain-sensing wipers.  Next up is the GT-badged versions: the GT-Line, GT-Line S and Ceed GT.  The GT-Line S is the most expensive in the trim line with heated seats and a sliding sunroof whereas the GT is sportier.

KIA Ceed Hatchback Safety and Infotainment Features

The Kia Ceed has excellent upgraded safety features including a forward collision - avoidance assist (FCA) that detects vehicles in front to help you avoid a crash.  It also comes with the option for a pedestrian protection system which alerts you to pedestrians in the road by vibrating the steering wheel.

KIA Ceed Servicing and Warranty

The Kia Ceed, like all new cars in the Kia range, comes with a seven-year manufacturer’s warranty.  Kia recommends that you should have your petrol car serviced every 12 months or after 10,000 miles and diesel cars serviced after 12 months or 20,000 miles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is is better to buy or lease a KIA Ceed Hatchback?

If you are someone who likes to switch cars every few years, leasing is the way to go. You'll only pay off the amount that the car depreciates in value during the course of your lease, rather than the full initial price tag. This means no losing out on bags of cash when you're ready to hand the car back - you can simply sign up for a new lease contract and the cycle goes on!

How much is it to lease a KIA Ceed Hatchback?

The ultimate cost of your lease depends on the terms of your lease deal. This includes the length of your contract, your trim and engine choices, and your annual agreed mileage. All of these choices will affect the rate of depreciation and therefore the overall cost of the lease.
