The manual E-SKYACTIV G is capable of returning 51.4mpg and will reach 62mph in a respectable 10 seconds. The E-SKYACTIV X manages 54.3mpg and shaves two seconds off that same 0-62mph sprint. 

Running costs are still low when it comes to insurance costs. The Mazda3 Hatchback falls somewhere between groups 9E and 13E - it’s cheap as chips!

There are 5 trim levels available, though even the cheapest ‘SE-L’ is well-equipped, with a 8.8-inch infotainment screen featuring Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and the Mazda Navigation system, as well as Mazda Radar Cruise Control and a wind-screen projected Active Driving Display.
