Leasing a Mini Countryman

Background to the Mini Countryman

Launched in 2010, the five-door Mini Countryman combines practical SUV properties with classic Mini hatchback styling. Three trim levels and a number of optional packs make this a great choice for anyone looking for a vehicle that seamlessly crosses over from city to country. Boot space is generous — it is 450-litres, and up to 1,390-litres with the rear seats down, providing even the most luggage-laden individuals plenty of room.

Mini Countryman Engines and Performance

Available as a petrol, diesel and a plug-in hybrid, the Mini Countryman offers either a 1.5-litre Cooper which produces 136bhp, or the 2-litre 178bhp Cooper S. For country dwellers or off-roaders, the All4 option provides all-wheel drive capability. Also available is a plug-in hybrid version with low CO2 emissions of 39-43g/km and an electric range capacity of up to 30 miles. If you’re covering lots of miles, the diesel engine provides up to 58mpg, while the petrol options return between 39-44mpg, depending on the engine you choose. Plus, with its BMW ownership, you can be confident that any option you do choose will be designed to perform at optimum levels.

Mini Countryman Trim Levels

The Mini Countryman comes in a choice of three trim levels: Classic, Sport, and Exclusive. Alloy wheels are standard on all options - 16-inch or 17-inch on the Classic, and 18-inch on the Sport and Exclusive. All three trim levels also come with a leather steering wheel, with leather seats reserved for the Exclusive spec. If you do want something sporty, the Sport model certainly lives up to its name with its aerodynamic kit, sport seats and sleek interior. You can also personalise your Mini Countryman with a plethora of optional extras — choose from different wheel spoke designs, upholstery and various packs such as the Comfort Plus Pack which includes parking assist.

Mini Countryman Safety and Infotainment Features

Tech fans on a budget won’t be disappointed as the Mini Countryman includes a wide range of features as standard. There’s an onboard computer, an 8.8-inch display with Apple CarPlay, DAB radio, Bluetooth, rear park distance control and rain sensor among others. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) to ensure smooth emergency braking.
