Leasing a Peugeot Rifter
The Peugeot Rifter has been produced by the French firm since 1996 and is based on the Peugeot 306 estate. In 2019, it won the title of ‘Best MPV’ award at the UK Car of the Year Awards and replaced the Peugeot Partner Tepee. The Rifter ticks all the boxes for practicality as it is a five-door vehicle that comes with the option of either five- or seven-seats which makes it an excellent option for families. When it comes to its aesthetics, unlike other people carriers, the Peugeot Rifter retains an attractive design boasting rear sliding doors, a choice of long or short wheelbases and an eye-catching grille. As well as coming with an excellent range of infotainment features, the Peugeot Rifter also excels in the safety department.
The Peugeot Rifter is offered with a range of both petrol and diesel engines which are dependent on the trim level that you opt for. With the entry-level Active trim, there are five engine options available, featuring Peugeot’s latest generation PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel engine technology. The Peugeot Rifter diesel estate runs on a BlueHDi engine which delivers improved performance with higher fuel consumption. The Rifter has a 1.2-litrePureTech petrol engine, and four 1.5-litre BlueHDi diesel engine choices. Rifter 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engines are frugal and the Rifter 1.5-litre unit features start-stop technology and emits 114g/km of CO2. The engines use either a manual gearbox or the option of smooth-changing automatic transmission.
When designing your perfect brand new Peugeot Rifter, you have the choice of three trim levels: Active, Allure and GT Line. All models come with air con and DAB radio as standard and the entry-level Active trim comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, aluminium roof rails and steering wheel-mounted controls. With the Allure trim line, you can expect to benefit from an 8-inch display, electric heated door mirrors and LED daytime running lights. The top trim offered, the GT Line, boasts added features such as 17-inch alloy wheels and glossy black exterior details.
The Peugeot Rifter has decent safety features which include passenger airbags, tyre pressure sensor, anti-lock braking system and child locking functionality on rear doors. Safety features such as parking sensors are available with the Allure trim. However, the Peugeot Rifter does lack some of the advanced safety features that its competitors boast, such as blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning.
The Peugeot Rifter comes with a three year/60,000 miles warranty and it is recommended that you get the car serviced annually, or every 12,000 miles.

Frequently Asked Questions
The overall price of your Peugeot Rifter lease will be dependent on variable factors such as the trim level, overall mileage and extras that you decide to add when designing your lease. A new car will depreciate by around 40% after three years but your car lease will take this into account.
Leasing can be cheaper than buying if you like to upgrade your car every few years. With leasing, you only pay off the cost of depreciation, never the full price of the car. This gives you access to brand new cars with high specs that you might not otherwise be able to enjoy. You can simply hand the car back at the end of the contract rather than haggling at a dealership. Road tax is included in the lease price.
