Toyota GR86 Lease

The Toyota GR86 is one of two sports cars produced by Toyota - the other being the more expensive GR Supra. The GR Yaris also offers ‘rally-inspired design’, if that’s more your thing.

The GR86 is available with a 2.4-litre petrol boxer engine with 231 BHP, rear-wheel drive, and a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes. Whichever you choose, you can expect to go from 0-62 MPH in just 6.3 seconds, topping out at 140 MPH. You’ll also get 32 MPG, which is much better than other sports cars on the market. 

Throwing the car into corners is just as fun as you’d expect. The low-slung flat-four engine provides an unusually low centre of gravity, and you’ll find composure even on the twistiest of hairpin bends. 

With ‘Track’ mode turned on, you can dial back the electronic aids and let rip. Steering is predictable, and shifting gears is every bit as enjoyable. 

The GR86 is a classic 2+2 sports car. Those in the front seats will sink low, kept firmly in place by the deep bolsters when turning hard. Rear seats are small, but this car was never really designed for family excursions…

A touchscreen infotainment system in the centre console provides Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, so you can sync your mobile and navigate with ease.
