Leasing a Volkswagen Golf Estate
Back in the early 90s, Volkswagen realised they had a problem. Traditional Golf Hatchback drivers were starting families and demanding more space. So VW got to work, and in 1993 the Volkswagen Estate made its first appearance. It was spacious and practical, yet still handled like a Golf; customers loved it. Now the Golf Estate is in its fifth edition and continues to be a popular choice for family drivers loyal to the Golf brand.
The 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine is similar to the one in the Golf hatchback and offers good performance around town. The outputs are either 130ps or 150ps, and the engine is mated with either a six-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. There’s also a 1.6-litreTDI diesel engine producing 117ps and returning 58mpg. The petrol engines have economy of between 45mpg and 50mpg. Front-wheel drive is standard, with 4motion all-wheel-drive as an optional extra. 4motion offers total control on any surface.
Match Edition trims include heated front seats and climate control. Then it's a step-up to the GT with 17-inch alloy wheels and a host of high-tech driver-assistance systems. The flagship R model comes with more advanced safety features, as well as sport seats and an elegant titan black interior.
Your VW Golf Estate car lease will be decked out with an innovative infotainment system. A high-tech navigation system provides a wealth of data, making sure you always stay on course and up-to-date with the latest traffic developments. The Golf Estate also offers optional mobile interfaces. Link your smartphone to make hands-free calls, receive texts or listen to your favourite playlists. Blindspot sensors give you an extra pair of eyes on the road, while rear parking assist minimises the chance of bumps and scratches when squeezing into tight spots.
Volkswagen recommends servicing the Golf Estate every year or 12,000 miles. All of our VW vehicle leases come with a three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer's warranty.
The Skoda Superb Estate is one of the best-equipped family estates and has up to 1,950-litres of boot space. It returns up to 56mpg which helps keep running costs down. The Audi A4 Avant lease is the logical step if you want to upgrade. Or check out the BMW 5 Series Touring for its performance and practicality.

Frequently Asked Questions
Leasing is a flexible and cost-effective way to get a new car. Instead of owning the car, lease customers pay off the depreciation costs via fixed monthly payments. It makes leasing typically cheaper than other finance options. The car goes back at the end of the lease term, allowing you to upgrade to a new model. You can request a callback from a broker to discuss your own needs.
Our partners use a range of factors to calculate a personal price for your lease, including lease length, initial payment, and engine specs. Usage is another factor. For example, all business leasing deals are exc VAT, and all personal leasing prices are inc VAT.
