Leasing a Volkswagen T-Cross

Background to the Volkswagen T-Cross

The Volkswagen T-Cross Estate was launched in 2019. The new T-Cross is an accomplished offering in the compact SUV segment, with an impressive interior and infotainment system. It's marketed as an entry-level model for young families who want to keep running costs low.

Volkswagen T-Cross Engines and Performance

The T-Cross diesel estate has a 1.6-litreTDI engine producing 95bhp. Customers opting for the petrol model can choose between the 1.0-litreTSI with 94 bhp or the 1.5-litre unit. The T-Cross is available with a 5- or 6-speed manual gearbox, or a 7-speed DSG transmission. Both models are front-wheel-drive, like the VW Polo. The T-Cross handles well and is surprisingly agile for an SUV; anyone looking for more pulling power should consider upgrading to the VW Touareg.

Volkswagen T-Cross Trim Levels

The entry-level SE and United trims offer anti-theft wheel bolts, Bluetooth mobile phone interface, and advanced safety features, including blind-spot monitoring. The top-range R-line model features 18-inch 'Nevada' alloy wheels, two-zone air conditioning and  Digital Cockpit Pro that displays all the essential driving information. The car also has a ‘Discover Media’ infotainment system with sat nav, streaming and internet services.

Volkswagen T-Cross Safety and Infotainment Features

An intelligent lane assist system activates at speeds above 37mph. It detects when the car drifts from the marked lane and takes corrective action by gently putting you back on course. The blind spot sensor uses LEDs to warn you about any vehicles sneaking up on the car’s blindside.  The We-Connect App links smartphone apps to the Infotainment touchscreen. It supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. There's also an optional ‘Beats’ sound system with subwoofer and a 300 watts output.

Volkswagen T-Cross Servicing and Warranty

All our Volkswagen lease offers include VW's manufacturer's warranty. It's a three-year or 60,000-mile plan that covers repairs and bodywork defects. VW recommends servicing a T-Cross yearly, or after every 12,000 miles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy or lease a Volkswagen T-Cross?

On average, new cars lose 40% of their value within three years. With leasing, you never own the vehicle. Instead, you cover the cost of depreciation via fixed monthly payments. You return the car at the end of the contract, giving you the option to upgrade to a new model.

How does leasing a Volkswagen T-Cross work?

Car leasing is easy. You find a great deal, put down an initial payment, and then pay a fixed monthly fee for the term of the contract; this is usually between 2-4 years. Road tax is included in all our lease deals. Leasing can be a flexible and cost-effective way to get a brand new car every few years.
