The M8 Coupe is a souped-up version of the already superb 8 Series Coupe. It’s joined by the more practical four-door M8 Gran Coupe, and BMW’s soft-top star performer, the M8 Convertible. 

The M8 Coupe has an impressive spec sheet. Capable of delivering 625hp and 750Nm of torque, the 4.4 litre V8 M TwinPower Turbo engine and 8-Speed M Steptronic makes the 0-62mph sprint in just 3.2 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155mph, but can be boosted to 190mph with the optional M Driver Package.

The interior feels not unlike a royal carriage, with two-tone M Sport seats featuring hexagonal quilting, Alcantara anthracite on the side panels and headlining, an M-branded Steering Wheel, M8-specific gear selector and Carbon fibre interior trim.

As you’d expect, there’s plenty of room in the front seats. Multi-way, electrically adjustable, accommodating seats provide good back support, and there’s enough room for two in the back. The 420-litre boot offers ample space for a suitcase or two and some golf bags. 

BMW’s iDrive infotainment system and Live Cockpit Professional allow sight-line navigation and make for an impressive entertainment experience. For an additional cost, a 16-speaker, 1,400W Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound Audio System can provide the soundtrack to your ride.
