The G-Class comes with a choice of two engines, the diesel G 400 d and the AMG-tuned G 63. Both are all-wheel drive, but the latter offers almost supercar-level performance, with 0-60mph acceleration in just 4.5 seconds.
Although many celebrities can be seen driving their G-Wagons in urban areas, it’s off-road where it really excels. You can choose between the standard Comfort, Sport, and Eco driving modes, or switch to G-Mode for maximum off-road capability. You can also switch between Sand, Trail and Rock on the drive select, which adapt the suspension stiffness, steering weight, and engine accordingly.
Inside, leather upholstery and open-pore wood trims come as standard, though Mercedes-AMG models get Nappa leather and carbon-fibre trims.
All models feature Mercedes’ widescreen cockpit infotainment screens for advanced navigation and entertainment.
