Mazda Cx-60 Lease

The CX-60 sits at the top of Mazda’s line-up in terms of size and price. It’s larger than the family favourite CX-5 which is not available as a hybrid. Those looking for the full electric experience may be tempted by the mid-sized MX-30. 

The plug-in hybrid marries a 2.5 litre four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to drive all four wheels. The 17.8kWh battery is good for 39 miles on electricity alone, and the car is even capable of four-wheel drive in electric-only mode. It’s also surprisingly swift, darting from 0-62mph in just 5.8 seconds. 

The interior is suitably plush, complemented with chrome highlights and silver trim finishes. Mazda’s infotainment offering is also easy to navigate, with a rotary dial, Apple Carplay and Android Auto as standard. 

The CX-60 offers a generous 570 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, which can be increased to 1,726 litres with the back row folded flat - more than enough space for a weekend away, or transporting some IKEA flat packs. The opening is wide and square for easy loading, and the rear seats can also fold in 40/20/40 fashion.

Families will be pleased to see that standard safety equipment includes blindspot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane-keep assist and traffic sign recognition. 

The CX-60 is well positioned to compete with both the established king of PHEVs, the Toyota RAV4, and its more luxurious rivals, the Audi Q3 Estate and the Lexus NX.
