Mini Hatchback Lease
The OG Mini. The Mini Hatchback has come a long way since the ‘Mark I’ launched in 1959, but it retains much of what made it a timeless icon. With a choice of three- and five-door configurations and a new electric version on the scene, there’s something for everyone - whether that’s the young professional, the small family, or the cost-cutting company car driver. More
The Mini Hatchback is at the smaller end of Mini’s line-up. The three-door configuration is complemented by a slightly larger and more practical boot than the five-door hatch, but if you still need something bigger, check out the Mini Clubman Estate or the Mini Countryman crossover SUV. Or, for a stylish drop-top distraction, take a look at the Mini Convertible.
There’s a choice of 4 petrol engine configurations and an electric variation in the 3-door version, and 3 petrol in the 5-door model.
If you opt for the electric 3-door hatchback, you’ll be able to enjoy up to 145 miles of electric range, saving you big bucks on fuel. If you’re more of a petrol-head, the ‘One’ is the most economical, returning between 51.4mpg and 52.3mpg depending on whether you opt for the 3- or 5-door. ‘John Cooper Works’ is the range-topping engine. It’s only available on the 3-door, but it’s the one to go for if you want hot-hatch performance.
The Mini’s interior is suitably upmarket, with a refined cockpit and plenty of options for personalisation. Option the ‘Sport’ trim and you’ll get a more aggressive body kit with unique alloy wheels, and a sportier interior with anthracite headlining, sports seats and ‘John Cooper Works’ badges throughout. If you go for the electric variation, “Level 2” comes with heated seats and part leatherette interior, whilst “Level 3” has a full leather interior, in a choice of 2 colours.
Comfort packs bring extra goodies like a heated seat and steering wheel, and a rear-view camera.
And no matter whether it’s finding directions or cueing the next song, the 8.8-inch ‘Mini Connected’ infotainment screen has you covered.
For some superb supermini alternatives, take a look at the Fiat 500 (also available in electric) and the Audi A1. The Honda E is a great electric city car alternative with a similar range to the Mini Electric.
