Leasing a Mini Clubman

Background to the Mini Clubman

The Mini Clubman was released in 2007 and since then, there’s been no looking back. Uniquely styled, its estate-style body is practical for ferrying around friends and family or lots and lots of luggage. Available as a five-door model (technically six if you include both sides of the split rear doors), the Mini Clubman estate is available in three trim levels and has a choice of three engines.

Mini Clubman Engines and Performance

Choose your performance preference, from the 136bhp Clubman 1.5-litre engine, the mid-range 2.0-litre engine, the 192bhp Cooper S; and the top of the range 306 bhp, 2.0-litre John Cooper Works edition. Fuel economy is 39.8 mpg, 38.2 mpg and 32.8 mpg respectively, while fuel type on all options, is petrol.  If you’re concerned about CO2 emissions, it’s no surprise that the smallest engine on the Cooper model is the most environmentally friendly at 143-159 g/km followed by the Cooper S (151-166 g/km) and then the John Cooper Works spec (180-193 g/km). When it comes to acceleration, the Mini Clubman John Cooper Works edition wins hands-down going from 0-62 mph in just 4.9 seconds, compared with the Cooper S at 7.3 seconds and the Cooper at 9.2 seconds.

Mini Clubman Trim Levels

As well as performance, you can also choose your trim level. The Classic spec offers timeless Mini design, the Sport spec has 17-inch alloy wheels and race-track ready looks. The Exclusive style option has been designed for comfort with leather seats, premium interior styling and the option of 18-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels. You can then tailor your choice even further with the option of various packs. The Driving Assistant Pack with camera assist; the Comfort and Comfort Plus Pack with heated seats and the Navigation and Navigation Plus Pack which offer a host of Bluetooth, real-time traffic and concierge options. If you’re a business user, the Mini Clubman City offers even more for your money. There’s a host of equipment including Apple CarPlay and Mini’s ConnectedDrive online services which makes getting out and about a breeze.

Mini Clubman Safety and Infotainment Features

Thanks to its BMW heritage, the Mini Clubman shares similar technology and parts with some of its cousins in the BMW range so you can expect long-term dependability. The Mini Clubman comes with some good, solid equipment as standard including a 6.5-inch sat nav display, real- time traffic updates, Apple CarPlay and emergency services calling abilities.

Mini Clubman Servicing and Warranty

There’s a three-year warranty on all new Minis - head to the Mini website for more details about servicing and warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is it to lease a Mini Clubman?

Cars depreciate by around 40% in their first three years, so your Mini Clubman leasing costs will vary depending on factors that influence that depreciation. This can include the initial payment, mileage, the spec level you choose as well as the length of your contract. Road tax is included.

Is it better to lease or buy a Mini Clubman?

Car leasing comes with a number of benefits. It means you can drive a brand new car, enjoy all the latest tech and gadgets without having to find a large deposit, paying in full or worry about trading in. At the end of your contract hire agreement, you simply hand the car back to your car leasing broker, leaving you free to choose another new Mini Clubman or even upgrade to a Mini Countryman.
